15 Days until IM with Sinus and Cold issues

Its been one week since it began and I can't seem to overcome the cold/sinus issue I have. My snot is turning green and leaking into my chest a bit. This hasn't really affected training greatly but I'm starting to wonder if continued training is why I can't lick this thing. Today is a 6 hour workout so this afternoon and tonight will be an indicator of how I'm really feeling. I'll be run down a bit from the big day and I'll see if the infection gains a bigger edge...

On the positive side, this is probably the best time to get sick. Its the beginning of taper and perhaps my body defenses can be rejuvenated and as strong as possible on race day!

I can assure, better to have it now than the week of the race. Let it take its course and get it out of the way! :)

Seriously, I hope you get up to snuff soon!

Lucky,

Your old buddy Jamie here. I hope you get to feeling better but I am not shocked you aren't feeling great with all of the training volume. All of that high volume training will do a number on your immune system. Enjoy the taper and keep me posted on how things are going. ~Jamie
