Floyd Landis

Very disappointing news on urine test #2. My kids and I spent two weeks screaming at the TV to see him win. How will I explain this to them. But I will.

Tour De France Stage 17

Floyd Landis rose from the dead. I am thrilled that he forevery changed the definition of "I had a bad day" by showing up the next day and having one of the best days the Tour has ever seen. Unreal.

A 102 degree fever, IM 2007 considerations, and work travel has sidelined my riding and tri work this week but now I have to ride big on Friday to pay homage to Floyd the Great. Yes I'm a freak.

Big OBX Rides

Early morning rides along the beach road and in Hatteras State Park are great. Flat and fast. Show up early and you beat the traffic also. Topped out with a 47 miler avg 19.2mph. I think that's good...? The best part is that you get back to the house before the kids wake up. Then off to the beach for eat, drink, swim, sandcastle!

Make sure you bring your bike to the OBX (Outer Banks, NC for those who don't know...).

Nice to see Floyd Landis in yellow today for the tour. Keep it up USA!

The tour and the ride

Starting today is one of the best times of the year to ride. While the tour de france is certainly landscaped a lot differently than we thought days ago it will still be a blast. I can't wait to watch the action then head out on the bike later the same day or first thing next morning. Time for me to go do my own doping with a chocolate milkshake made out of peanut butter and frozen yogurt.
